COVID-19 Housing Assistance Resources

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) have partnered to help homeowners and renters during the coronavirus pandemic.

This Toolkit is a good resource for individuals facing eviction issues.

The U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) has developed a Step-by Step guide for renters that are at risk of eviction. https://www.usich.gov/tools-for-action/at-risk-of-eviction-help-is-available/

These organizations are assisting Oklahomans in need if housing assistance as related to COVID-19: Information will be updated when we learn of other organizations providing services.

Restore Hope Ministries has been selected by the City of Tulsa and Tulsa County as the lead agency to administer Federal funding to provide much-needed rent and utility relief to Tulsa County residents.

Community Cares Partners (CCP), at www.okcommunitycares.org offers assistance for families facing a housing crisis and/or eviction due to COVID-19. CCP is receiving funds allocated by the State of Oklahoma, City of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, and Cleveland County.  Its application is not yet available but should be soon.

Community Action Agencies are good first stop, calling 211, or local city government to find out if they are receiving a grant.
