OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) presented the 2020 Premier Awards to the top five producing lending institutions in its OHFA Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance Program during its September Board of Trustees meeting.
Recipients and their home city include:
Associated Mortgage Corporation (AMC) – Tulsa
Cornerstone Home Lending – Houston,Texas
First United Bank & Trust – Durant
Gateway Mortgage – Jenks
Great Plains National Bank – Oklahoma City
During the past year, 2,170 buyers purchased homes utilizing OHFA’s down payment assistance products. This represents record volume for the organization in its 40th year of offering home loans to Oklahomans.
“This program succeeds because of the dedication of our participating lenders in assisting Oklahomans with home purchases,” said Lee Ann Smith, single family programs director.
OHFA partners with various mortgage lenders across the state to provide down payment assistance to homebuyers in all 77 counties. Qualified homebuyers receive a 30-year fixed rate low-interest mortgage loan with 3.5 percent down payment assistance. Buyers who bring their own down payment to the closing table benefit from a lower interest rate.
Teachers, first responders and state employees may also qualify for a lower interest rate.
