OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency presented the 2018 Premier Awards to the top five producing lending institutions in its OHFA Homebuyer Downpayment Assistance Program during its September Board of Trustees meeting.
Recipients and their corporate office location include:
Academy Mortgage Corporation, Draper, Utah
Bank of Oklahoma, Tulsa
Cornerstone Home Lending, Houston
First United Bank and Trust, Durant
Gateway Mortgage Group, Jenks
“The OHFA Homebuyer Downpayment Assistance Program is a success because of their dedication and participation in assisting Oklahomans with home purchases,” said Lee Ann Smith, the program’s director.
OHFA partners with various mortgage lenders across the state to provide downpayment assistance to homebuyers in all 77 counties. Qualified homebuyers receive a 30-year fixed rate low-interest mortgage loan with a 3.5 percent or 5.0 percent down payment grant.
“Our downpayment grants remove a big financial burden for many Oklahomans wanting to become homeowners for the first time or the second time,” said Smith
